A monument stands at the front entrance declaring that this school is the “Learning Place of Toson Shimazaki and Tokoku Kitamura in Their Young Years.” Many other culturally-significant figures from Ginza are also graduates of this school. One of the many RC-built elementary schools from the period after the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923.
